Problem Note 49552: "ERROR: Java virtual machine exception. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException" might be generated when creating ODS Graphics

The following error message might be issued when attempting to create ODS Graphics output:
ERROR: Java virtual machine exception. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException:
Comparison method violates its general contract!.
This problem is most likely to occur when attempting to plot data where two or more observations have the same X value but different Y values. The error occurs if Java 1.7 is the active version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
